Before you spend a lot of money on stuff these are the real items you need to get started other than the personal stuff you want. Start with these and then just add as you need stuff. I have purchased many things to make life easier/better, but these are the bare essentials :
- 30amp surge suppressor to protect your RV electrical from bad stuff
- Drinking Water Hose and pressure regulator
- I purchased the Camco 22833 Premium Drinking Water Hose (5/8"ID x 25')
I purchased something better than the cheap white hose and I wanted 25' so it would easily stretch around the motorhome.
- I purchased the Camco 40055 Brass Water Pressure Regulator
- Water Filter to keep sand and dirt out of your water tank and bad tastes from coming through
- I purchased the Camco 40043 TastePURE Water Filter with Flexible Hose Protector
- Sewer elbow for the blue host that comes with the fuse (I upgraded to a better stinky slinky, you don't need to).
- I think you can get away with: Camco 39144 Easy Slip Elbow and 4-in-1 Adapter
and use the blue hose that came with the motorhome.
- I actually purchased the Camco 39770 RhinoFLEX 15' RV Sewer Hose Kit with Swivel Fitting
. This is a place I wanted to take no chances.
- Nitrile Gloves - to keep your hands clean when dumping the tanks
- 30a to 15a electrical adapter, aka "dog bone" to connect your to normal house power
