This blog is to discuss my experiences and travels with my new Winnebago Fuse 23A motorhome. Think of it as a long term review of the Fuse and a compilation of our travels in our new coach. Since I am new to RVs, I am sure I will be somewhat confused and amused by what happens as we go down this path.

Foot Stool
The couch is pretty comfortable in the Fuse but there is no way to put up your feet. We thought about an ottoman but they take up too much space and would get in the way. My wife found a foldable foot stool on the wayfair.com web site.
Priced at $22.30 the Seville Classics Foldable Foot Stool Cube Ottoman even matches the color on our Fuse 23a. The one we purchased is grey. It is also available in beige and brown. It seems pretty sturdy and is the right height to put your feet up and relax.
It is 15" x 15" x 15" (a cube) when setup. It folds down into a very compact package when not in use. All fitting into a 15" x 15" x 2" high package. It will fit in the storage under the bed but we are going to try just keeping it behind the drivers seat.
If the single cube is not enough, a double wide one is available for about $40.00.

Absolutely love your blog and all of the invaluable tips! I too purchased the Fuse about 3 weeks ago. When I went to pick it up I found out that there were no manuals on the Ford truck, the Winnebago Camper, or any of the included equipment. It also did not have the second set of keys. I was told that this RV is so new that the manuals have not been printed yet. Just wondering if yours came with any manuals or extra keys? Seems strange that Ford hasn't published an operating guide and that the equipment such as the TV, oven, etc do not come with manuals. I printed the Fuse manual off the Winnebago website. Getting very frustrated...
ReplyDeleteHi;
DeleteI bought mine and it came with 2 sets of keys. Each set had 5 keys. Manuals from Ford on the Ford Transit Chassis and a owners manual and a separate manual set for all of the various pieces parts. The manual set for the pieces parts was much bigger than the owners manual. These all came in a messenger bag with dividers for all of the various groups of manuals. I have one of the first Fuses out and the info provided in the manual set was pretty complete. I would call the dealer back and complain and get them to bring in the Winnebago district folks if they could not get it fixed ASAP.
Thank you so much!
DeleteHey Don,
ReplyDeleteGreat Blog! I followed the link in your signature from IRV2. The Seville folding storage ottoman are great for a small RV! We have a pair of same grey ottoman, we'd been looking for a good solution to rest our feet, not take up too much room, and maybe even offer a bit of extra storage. We saw one of these folding ottomans at a local store, but they only had a tan one in stock. We got ours from Amazon. We use ours to store bed linens, make the bed, then they fold up out of the way.
